Delivery and Returns

This document sets out the Terms & Conditions of purchasing on Sunburn.com.au. All rates are in Australian dollars (AUD).
Sunburn reserves the right to reject the returns of goods which are not returned in accordance with our Delivery and Returns Policy.
Sunburn cannot be held accountable, or provide refunds or exchanges, for purchases made outside of a Sunburn Retail Store or Sunburn.com.au

Delivery

Australian Customers  

Postage Charges
FREE POSTAGE within Australia for orders over $100.  
Orders under $99.99 will incur a $9.95 delivery fee.

Delivery Timeframes
All goods purchased on Sunburn.com.au will receive a tracking number sent upon dispatch to the order email address; and be delivered by StarTrack within 3-5 working days.

Please note, rural areas may add an additional day to delivery time frames.
Order delivery times are provided as guidelines only, and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorisation. We cannot be held liable for any delay in delivery and the above time is as provided to us by the freight company.

PLEASE NOTE: Sunburn Swimwear does accept online orders for Christmas Island. Should you wish to make an order with a delivery address in that location please contact a Sunburn Swimwear Online Customer Service Representative on 1300 575 620.

Delivery Address
Please provide an address where you will be located during office hours
 as StarTrack require a signature upon receipt. If a work address is provided, StarTrack requires the business and receivers’ names.
Should no one be present at delivery to sign for your parcel, a card will be left and the parcel taken to your local post office or freight depot.
Once an order has been dispatched, Sunburn is unable to amend delivery location or redirect parcel.

International Customers

Postage Charges
Orders totalling $99.99 and over will incur a $15 (AUD) delivery fee.
Orders totalling $99.99 and under will incur a $25 (AUD) delivery fee.

Customs and Delivery Locations
Sunburn ships to most* destinations outside of Australia via DHL. Postage charges refers to the cost of the delivery with DHL, Sunburn does not accept any responsibility for customs delays, duties or taxes that may apply in destination country.
Sunburn recommends international customers to contact their local Customs Office in regard to any potential duty you may be liable for. By confirming a purchase you are accepting responsibility for all customs charges incurred as Sunburn will not refund customers who incur any such charges.
*DHL delivers to all international countries with the exception of Russia and Nigeria.
PLEASE NOTE: To comply with Australian export regulations we are required to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable ‘merchandise’. We are prohibited by law from marking the order as a ‘gift’, even if the order is placed with the intention of sending to a gift recipient.

Delivery Timeframes

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Our Returns Policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

In Store Purchase Returns Policy
Sunburn do not offer refunds for change of mind; however store credits can be provided within 14 days of original purchase date granted the garment meets the below conditions:

  • Proof of purchase provided
  • Tags attached
  • Garment in original condition, including  unworn and unwashed

Please make sure that swimwear is tried on over your own underwear. In the interests of hygiene, we may refuse returns of items where it's obvious that this hasn't been done.

Online Store Returns Policy
Sunburn.com.au is passionate about ensuring that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If you change your mind about an item purchased on Sunburn, you are entitled to an exchange or refund within 31 days of receipt should it meet the below requirements:

  • Proof of purchase provided
  • Tags attached
  • Garment in original condition, including  unworn and unwashed

  • Returns Form enclosed in returns package

Postage of Exchange or Refund
Sunburn does not accept responsibility of customer sent return or exchange packages; so it is advised that when delivery returns or exchanges that meet the above required criteria, customers should select a service that provides tracking.
PLEASE NOTE: Duty, tax and/or delivery costs incurred on an exchange or refund order is at the customers’ expense and cannot be refunded unless deemed faulty by a Sunburn Representative.

Refund Payments
Refunds will be processed in the method as the original payment within 5 business days of Sunburn receiving the return parcel. Notification will be sent to nominated email address at the time of this transaction.
PLEASE NOTE: Sunburn cannot be held accountable for banking institution processing timeframes.

Exchanges or Replacements
Sunburn offers exchanges and/or replacements that meet the required criteria for another size, colour or item; subject to product availability.
These will be processed within 5 business days of receipt and notification of this transaction will be provided to the nominated email address.
A limit of 1 exchange per order applies, unless product deemed faulty by a Sunburn Representative. Should a refund be requested for the exchanged item, Sunburn is happy to process a refund, should it meet the Returns Policy requirements.
Should a faster exchange be required, Sunburn recommends visiting a Sunburn Store (DFO’s not included), or alternatively sending the item back for a refund and placing a separate order online for the new item. Sunburn will not accept out of pocket expenses should a customer choose this option.

Same Value Exchange
Should the item requested for exchange be the same value as that of the product being returned, no additional payment will be required and the exchange item will be dispatched free of charge.

Different Value Exchange
Should the item requested for exchange be different value as that of the product being returned, one of two scenarios will occur:

  1. A variance where payment is owed to the customer will be refunded as per the original order payment method.
  2.  A variance where payment is owed to Sunburn, a Customer Service Representative will contact the customer prior to processing and dispatch to take additional payment

In Store Exchanges 
Sunburn Stores can process online exchanges for the same value only and accept product for refunds, should the item meet the requirements as listed above.
Should your requested exchange item be at a different value, a refunded for your original order will be processed within 5 business days of request and you will be required to purchase the requested items separately. Sunburn will not accept out of pocket expenses should a customer choose this option.

In Store Refunds
Sunburn Stores can accept goods for refund, however payments cannot be processed in store. Any refund requested in a Sunburn Store will be progressed to Online Customer Service and will be processed within 5 business days to the original payment method. Notification will be sent to nominated email address at the time of this transaction.
